Student Volunteer Program
Call for Student Volunteers
PASC21 is pleased to announce that submissions for the Student Volunteer Program are now open.
We are looking for undergraduate, master’s and doctoral enthusiastic students who are interested in helping us with the administration of the event. Students selected as volunteers will be granted a complimentary registration for the conference. Please note that the conference cannot cover travel or accommodation expenses.
Undergraduate and graduate student volunteers will have the opportunity to:
- Attend technical talks by prominent researchers and industry leaders
- Develop lasting peer connections
- Gain understanding of aspects involved in coordination of a large event
When not on duty, student volunteers can attend program sessions, as well as lunches and coffee breaks. If there are specific sessions that a volunteer would particularly like to attend, we invite her/him to let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate the request.
To show our appreciation we invite all volunteers to participate in a closing dinner on the last day of the event.
If you are interested in applying for the Student Volunteer Program, please contact us at info@ from your university email address, and indicate "PASC21 Student Volunteer Program" as subject line. pasc-conference.org
We encourage all students interested in attending talks in their field and beyond, getting to know peers from the HPC world, and working with a fun team of people to apply for the Student Volunteer Program. Should you feel uncomfortable with the in-person format of the event, kindly make sure you write it in your application correspondence.
Please note that this opportunity is available on a first come, first served basis.
We look forward to receiving applications!

Some impressions from the PASC Conference student volunteers from previous editions
"I just want to say that the conference was very well organized even for us volunteers. We had very clear schedules, very clear duties, and instructions and we also had more than enough time to enjoy some of the talks we found especially interesting. I have been volunteering for other conferences and such a good organization is not common. Communication between ourselves was great and the environment was very friendly. It was an important experience for me, I learned a lot from both the conference and the volunteering."
"Volunteering is always a great way to become immersed in an event - and it is so much more when you are a volunteer at PASC. A small group of students from different parts of the world, speaking different languages and having different academic qualifications came together to make a very strong team, assisting over 400 participants - an incredible achievement for all of us. All of us got to know each other personally and academically, and the advice I got from experienced colleagues is surely going to help in my future work."
"The event was extremely well organized, as a result everything went smoothly and my job was even fun. Apart from gaining an insight on the organizational side of a big conference, which might be hard to get otherwise, I was able to attend the conference for free. The work schedules were made according to our preferences, so that we were free to attend the sessions we were most interested in. Attending talks by leading researchers on recent advances in my field was exciting for me and beneficial for my research. Overall, volunteering at PASC18 was a valuable experience and I would recommend it to anyone, especially to junior researchers who may not be presenters themselves yet."
