Yasuhiro Idomura is a General Manager of the Computational Science Research and Development Office at the Center for Computational Science and e-Systems, JAEA. He received his Ph.D degree from Kyoto University in 2000. He studied fusion plasma turbulence simulations in the Plasma Theory Laboratory, Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI), during 2000-2005, and in the Plasma Theory and Simulation Group, JAEA during 2005-2012. His research interests include fusion science, plasma physics, computational fluid dynamics, and related high performance computing and visualization.
