SUMMARY:Scalable HPC & AI Infrastructure for COVID-19 Therapeutics
DESCRIPTION:Paper\n\nScalable HPC & AI Infrastructure for COVID-19 Therape
utics\n\nJha\n\nCOVID-19 has claimed more 2.4M lives and resulted in over
125M infections. There is an urgent need to identify drugs that can inhibi
t SARS-CoV-2. We discuss innovations in computational infrastructure and m
ethods that are accelerating and advancing drug design. Specifically, we d
escribe several methods that integrate artificial intelligence and simulat
ion-based approaches, and the design of computational infrastructure to su
pport these methods at scale. We discuss their implementation and characte
rize their performance, and highlight science advances that these capabili
ties have enabled.\n\nDomain: CS and Math, Life Sciences
