SUMMARY:Enzo-E: An Exascale AMR Code for Self-Gravitating Astrophysical Fl
 uid Dynamics
DESCRIPTION:Minisymposium\n\nEnzo-E: An Exascale AMR Code for Self-Gravita
ting Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics\n\nO'Shea, Norman, Bordner\n\nEnzo-E is
a new version of the Enzo adaptive mesh refinement fluid dynamics code (ht
tp://enzo-project.org), which is widely used to study self-gravitating, mu
ltiphysics astrophysical phenomena such as star and galaxy formation.
; The Enzo-E code is based on the Charm++ parallel programming framework (
 http://charmplusplus.org/), which supports a task-based parallel
programming paradigm that promotes excellent scaling for simulations of t
hese types of phenomena.  In this presentation I will discuss the fun
damental design decisions underlying Enzo-E's development, successes and c
hallenges to date, and an outlook as the Enzo-E project moves toward the e
xascale era.  More information about Enzo-E, including the code and d
ocumentation, can be found at http://cello-project.org/ .\n\nDomain:
