SUMMARY:Iterative Parallel Tetrahedral Mesh Adaptation
DESCRIPTION:Minisymposium\n\nIterative Parallel Tetrahedral Mesh Adaptatio
 n\n\nCirrottola, Froehly\n\nUnstructured mesh adaptation is experiencing g
rowing usage in industry. Anyway, for big industrial problems (like billio
n-elements meshes) sequential adaptation is severely limited by the memory
available, besides the growing computing time. We present a parallel adap
tation method based on iterative remeshing and repartitioning. At each ite
ration, adaptation is performed by keeping the parallel interfaces fixed.
The mesh is then parallely repartitioned by moving the current interfaces,
and the remeshing-repartitioning steps are iterated until convergence on
a globally adapted mesh. The method that we present has been implemented i
n the ParMmg software, an open-source library freely available on GitHub.\
