 s in user space. The tool is self contained and it does not have other dep
 endencies except the python standard library. As such, there is no need to
  install any aditional software nor require administrative privileges
 . The execution of a given container is performed exclusively in user spac
 e, and respects resource usage policies, accounting and process contr
 ols. udocker empowers users to execute applications encapsulated in contai
 ners easily in any Linux system including HPC systems and other computing 
 clusters. The udocker Command Line Interface (CLI) is a subset of the Dock
 er CLI, with the same or similar options and features. It can search and p
 ull images from Dockerhub or other private container repositories, it can 
 import, export, load and execute containers. All required binary tools and
  libraries are provided with udocker and compilation is not needed. udocke
 r is an integration tool that incorporates several execution methods givin
 g the user the best possible options to run their containers according to 
 the host capabilities. Several interchangeable execution modes are availab
 le, that exploit different technologies and tools. udocker is been success
 fully used to support execution of HTC, HPC and GPGPU applications in many
